Anyone else think that WWE has slightly improved these last few weeks. Coincidence that Heyman is in charge of Raw and Bischoff is on SDL?

Clash of Champions is on tonight too. Deciding whether or not to stay up to watch it or watch it the following day.

Never assume something has improved after only a few weeks. It only takes made old mad lunatic in control of the company to start objecting, rewriting scripts at the last minute and insist on pushing talentless wrestlers because they have 'the look' and you're right back to square one. If the shows and PPV's are still much better in a years time and the same show runners are in change then it's real.

I haven't seen a good wrestling match since Hell in a Cell with The Undertaker and Mankind.

When Mankind was thrown off the top of the cage I couldn't stop laughing after Jim Ross yelled Bah gawd! As god as my witness he is broken in half!

The whole match was mad
You have missed a lot of good wrestling then, a lot of bad too. That match was mental and I have huge admiration for Foley for putting his body through that to entertain everyone.

Finally watched NXT this morning. The show was very front loaded with the first hour being on the USA Network. Overall was good, though the ending to the show was a bit crappy. Looks like we will be seeing the Cruiserweights and UK rosta too.

Currently watching Greed PPV from 2001, which was the last ever WCW PPV. Really think that the company was improving again at this time, after all the Vince Russo bollocks in 2000. I also wonder what would have happened to all the younger talent like Sean O'Haire had the company survived and they did not get buried or released in WWE.

ITV have now changed their schedule for last nights AEW Dynamite. The full show will be shown tonight on the ITV Hub at 7pm and then again on ITV4 on Friday at about 11pm. I have avoided all spoilers so far and will likely watch it tomorrow.

Hopefully the ignorant bastards will be forced to pull their finger out now they seem to have competition again. From what I heard though, they seemed to have ignored the incident on Raw.

WWE Network cancelled subscription.

After this weeks raw, where I was falling asleep on the sofa listening to the awful commentary, I decided to speak with my wallet.

TNA, ROH, AEW, and NWA for the rest of the year

Been watching first two weeks of NWA Powerr.

it’s crap, but also crap in a good way.

James Storm, Eli Drake, Nick Aldis (Magnus), Mr Kennedy/Anderson ( I cant stand him), and a few others. My favourite Damien Sandow as well.

Its been designed with a real 80’s vibe.

Not competing at the AEW or even ROH level, it’s different for sure.

Side note, I’m really enjoying Ace Austin on impact at the moment, and his storyline chasing after Eddies wife.

Have not watched NWA, but I agree with you about Kennedy/Anderson, never liked him either.

Watched NXT UK tonight, pretty good episode as usual. Will watch NXT tomorrow, and AEW tomorrow night on ITV4.

haven't watched any pro wrestling since the early 2000's but with AEW being available on ITV4 thought I'd give Dynamite a go last night and thought it was comparable to a good Monday Night Raw episode from back when I used to watch that. I can only assume that the WWE standard has fallen off given that there a people saying AEW is better in comparison to the current WWE offerings.

Yes, WWE is run by out of touch old farts who are ruining a lot of the talent on their roster.

AEW is good, and I’m enjoying it. I hope they continue to do their own thing and don’t concentrate on trying to beat WWE.

Watched AEW dark episode 3, very good episode. I’m not sure if it’s all ‘me’ because I desperately want something fresh, or are they just on it.
Cima has been a brilliant signing and makes me wonder how well some of the Japanese wrestlers WWE have signed would do if allowed to be themselves.

Watched half of ‘bound for glory’. TNA just can’t get a break, they had a few minutes of ‘no feed’ right at the start, then incorrectly named the surprise entrant to the battle royale Joey Ryan. Some of their women are excellent workers. Haven’t watched the main event or the x division 5way yet. I would say tho it’s 2019, Sabu, really?

I noticed episode three of Powerrr is up (on YouTube), I haven’t watched it yet, but enjoyed the first two episodes

I didn’t enjoy NxT as much last week, I just didn’t enjoy the main event bruiserwieght and Damien Priest, even though I like both wrestlers. NxT UK was very good. I’ve seen the Coffey brothers at a few live events so it was nice to see Gallus. Xia Brookside was good as well.

This weeks 205 hopefully will have some new talent as a lot moved up during the draft.

I didn’t watch Raw or Smackdown.

it’s a good time to be a wrestling fan.

WWE Announces First-Ever Women’s Match In Saudi Arabia At Crown Jewel

“ WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced at a press conference at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh that the first-ever WWE women’s match in Saudi Arabia will take place tomorrow, October 31.”

The history-making clash will see up-and-comer Lacey Evans, a veteran of the United States Marines, take on WWE veteran Natalya.

I wonder how much behind the scenes wrangling that took. Fair play to them tho, I was someone who never supported the events in Saudi Arabia because of that reason.

I wont be watching it because morally they should not be going to that shit hole. Guess it's good, though no doubt they will be covered head to toe.

I like wrestling. It was great when WWF was on Sky1 and the kids were little. They grew up, it became WWE and became a bit saner and less daft and migrated to paid for channels and PPV.
I sometimes catch a bit on YouTube but the normal stuff seems dull. I do like this bloke called Joey Ryan and his innovative "Dong Style" though....

You might also enjoy Orange Cassidy, plenty of his matches on YouTube.

Joey Ryan is fun to watch, he was most recently on the Impact wrestling ppv, a couple of weeks ago.

I no longer watch Raw or Smackdown, but watch NXT. Wondering what they do with the NXT Invasion angle, whether it's just a one off because of Survivor Series or if they go all in and do an NWO style angle led by HHH. I am sure Vince and his ass lickers will disapoint us yet again.

Watched it all, just not the last match (moxley/omega). I did enjoy everything I saw. Best match was SCU/Lucia bro’s/private party three way. Hottest girl that I wash was an escort Riho.
Cody and Jericho was good fun.
She is very tiny is Riho, and cute too. Don't like Britt Baker much (as a wrestler, not her looks), think they could do with recruiting some more female talent.

Im sure they will Tanille Dasheood from TNA, and maybe Marty Belle and Thunda Rosa from NWA would all fit well.

Im thinking the wages/work life balance stuff they seem to be promoting will male a few WWE stars take a look.

They had 21 for the female wrestlers for the Battle Royale during the buy in show for an earlier PPV, I can't remember the names but some of them were clearly very talented but haven't been seen since. I guess having just one show a week doesn't really give need to have much of a roster but it will quickly become very stale if it's just the same few wrestling each other every other week.

Im sure you know, but just in case.
Every week usually Tuesday, AEW put a show on YouTube called AEWdark.
This is an hour long and will include matches not shown in the previous weeks Dynamite.
Most recent one had a single female match and a tag female match, so managed to show 6 female stars in action.

There won’t be one this week, as they showed it early, (Thursday, last week) to ensure it was on before the PPv.

No I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the heads up about it. I've only watched what has been on ITV4 and perhaps I've missed them mentioning it on Dynamite. Will give them a watch from now on.

So watching the AEW stuff has made me go online and have a bit of a look at what WWE is upto these day which leads me to learn the the current WWE champ is the son of one of my all time favourite "Heels" from the early 90's Irwin R. Shyster. If you'd told me Brae Wyatts dad was a wrestler from that time I don't think I would ever have though it would have been IRS

Great weekend of wrestling this weekend with NXT Takeover War Games tonight and Survivor Series tomorrow. Anybody NOT supporting Team NXT?

Also NXT beat AEW Dynamite in the TV ratings this week for the first time. Both were great shows.

Watching NXT now, it’s a good show, as always. Not surprising they had a ratings push, they telegraphed heavily that raw and smackdown stars were coming.

I will probably watch both the ppv’s

Jim cornette was sacked from NWA for a racist comment, will be interesting how this changes the show.

Heard Cornette's comments. Totally unacceptable and God knows how they got past editing. Have enjoyed NWA, hope it continues to be good regardless of him leaving.

Decent PPV last night, could not complain too much with maybe the exception of a couple of crappy eliminations. 7/10.
I will watch it later.

Takeover was very good, I have now seen the whole thing. The 3 way match in particular was a lot of fun.

This weeks impact wasn’t great, seems they have moved to Tuesday nights to avoid smackdown. I like Josh he deserves better. In fact they have some good talent (loving Ace Austin), but can’t seem to convert it to long term growth.

Impact is the only one I don't really watch, even though they may have one of the best Women's divisions. It will be interesting to see if any of them desert to AEW in the future.

The start of nxt was good, haven’t watched anymore yet. Haven’t watched aew yet either. NWA was a bit slower this week, as they locked in the matches for the ppv in two weeks.

After a decent start, TLC's quality jumped off a cliff the second half of the show. Also looks like Kairi got hurt in the main event. Just also want to comment on how awful Jerry Lawler was on commentary, especially compared to the excellent Vic Joseph and Samoa Joe.

So, one of my friends asked me why I like wrestling, I said “it’s 99% shit, but every so often it’s 1% awesome”

I then showed them the following match from last month in Ireland

Enjoy (honestly well worth the watch to any wrestling fan, this isn’t just New Year’s Eve drunk talking)

So WWE, including NXT is from now on BT Sports. I wonder if there will be a big increase in subscribers? For me, its not worth it, I will at least have the Network.

I wonder what the price is?
I once stopped at one of the Sky booths in a shopping centre, and asked how much, I was specific in saying “I only want to watch wrestling”
This was about a year ago

Now the channel wrestling was on, was about £12:99 or something, but I HAD to also have a the ‘sky family pack’ and that was some like £20. So a total of over £30 per month just for Raw and Smackdown.

I laughed and said I would carry on watching the two programs I actually wanted on dodgy websites.

I remember when Sky Sports only had about 4 channels that you had to subscribe to individually. They had. A habit of moving Raw and Smackdown around all 4 of them. It was a great scam for a sports channel broadcasting a non-sport show to a large niche audience. I didn't fall for it.

Had a dream last night I was fucking Lana in doggy while Rusev watched #JuanKerrDay :wacko:

Watched my last Raw on Sky before it moved to BT, Vince may have got a good deal but I cant imagine the ratings will be better.
He may have got a better deal than you may imagine. BT are probably still trying to build up their TV brand whilst Sky may have low balled the WWE due to the WWE Network.

I don't doubt that he got a good deal but I just cant see BT having higher ratings for it than Sky did, that's not based on any facts just a personal opinion.

NXT UK Takeover Blackpool 2 this weekend. Potential for at least 3 great matches with the TLC tag team match, women's triple threat and Bate vs Devlin.
