Dental hygiene

I'd say the two main bugbears for escorts are timewasters and poor hygiene. I'm lucky in that I've only dealt with severe BO once or twice and have yet to meet a cheesy cock (thank god), but I've seen several men who have terrible dental hygiene.

By this, I don't mean slight garlic or smoker's breath, but yellow, green, black or missing teeth. Sometimes their breath is OK, or at least tolerable, but a few have had halitosis that could sour milk at 50 paces. They clearly haven't seen a dentist in years, if not decades. So many men say DFK is important to them, and I normally enjoy it too - but it's vile if the client has bad breath. Also, if they kiss your body (nipples being a key target) you can be left with the stench all over you. It can even pollute the whole bedroom.

I have disposable toothbrushes, mouthwash and breath spray on clear display in the bathroom, and if I get a hint of any nasty smells on arrival I ask them outright to use one of them as I direct them upstairs. Would you find this offensive??

But if I don't catch it then, is it acceptable/preferable for the escort to call a halt early on and ask you to use some mouthwash, or would you rather she just carried on with the session but avoided kissing?

Last but not least, do you think some people just don't notice or care about the state of their teeth/mouth?

I carry a bottle of mouthwash with me to punts, just because I am paranoid this might happen, when I shower I always take my rucksack in with me and whip it out if there isn't any on offer. (It's also useful as I have an allergy to alcohol, so I have to be careful with the mouthwash in girls places)

I take minty freash breath very seriously. Flossing has been my teeth's salvation, that and a tooth cleaner I bought in Canada. I will admit that these revelations came later in life but I was blessed with sturdy teeth. There are people who have naturally weak teeth and it must be a devil of a job to preserve them. As for breath, eat light the 24 hrs before, lots of water, breath mints and I think I have the problem sorted.

Most poor mouth hygiene I have experienced has simply been a result of either not drinking enough water, heavy smoking, too much alcohol, or a combination of any of these. Some mouthwashes can also leave a tacky residue.

A punter should be clean of course, its a punting basic. If doing FK/DFK or OWO after they have brushed their teeth with a toothbrush I would be wary of tiny tears in their gums which can happen when brushing teeth, that can increase the risk of infection.

It's one of the worst things to come across. Luckily I have only ever found its been a residue from food, e.i. garlic, cheese onion sandwich from lunch. There are new toothbrushes and mouth wash in my bathroom in these cases. At least this is not down to poor hygiene . Yet to encounter bad breath from poor dental hygiene or infections. God I don't know what I would do. Oh also had heavy smokers, not pleasant.

I have new toothbrushes and mouth wash next to new razors, shaving foam etc but they never use them anyway.
Very few use the mouth wash and in some cases their breath was ville. I'm too embarrassed to tell them to use it and I don't want to hurt their feelings either so I endure then block them after. A grown man should know what to do anyway. Luckily that's rare :)

I always take a small bottle with me but if there is some on offer in the bathroom I will use that - not because I'm tight or anything but I always just assume that the girl prefers that particular brand/flavour. I love DFK so anything I can do to encourage that is important

Always chew some gum or even better still, suck on one of Uncles Joes minty balls.
Get rid of it, before the initial greeting kiss.

Also, keep a small poundshop Listerine bottle in the car.
Failing that, there is usually some mouthwash in the girls bathroom.

I clean my teeth just before leaving for a punt, drink water on the way and have a rinse of mouthwash just before leaving the car. I prefer not to use the girls mouthwash because I'm sure loads of guys would just pick up the bottle and take a slug. So if you have mouthwash in the bathroom for punters please put little plastic cups next to it. Very few girls do this.

Always chew sugar free gum after meals

Again, I'm paranoid about smells and odours and make sure I am always clean and fresh

Yep, I've got some plastic shot glasses for this.

Thanks for all the replies. I think my policy from now on is just going to be to turn down repeat bookies with the worst offenders - the question is, do I tell them why...? Sometimes I think I should just be honest!

I tried this and they still picked up the bottle, the cups became dusty so I just hid the mouthwash, sorry but it wasn't nice. I did ask a few guys about it, they said "Oh I know it's only you that uses this bottle".

Oh deary me.

If someone has a gum infection no amount of cleaning or use of mouthwash will disguise the smell. It is a unique almost rancid meat meets copper smell (the smell of puss and blood basically as those with gum infections bleed if they suck on the gum a little). I have met many clients with this problem and have declined all of them as gum infections are able to pass form mouth to mouth.
For those who do use mouthwash just before a booking don't forget to use an alcohol free one as the ones with alcohol in can cause micro abrasions in the mouth which means any STI that the other may have you will catch it easier. Also do not brush your teeth for two hours before a booking even if asked to as this causes the same to happen. I am open wiyth all medical professionals about my job as I cant risk infections as I have a low immune system so when I told my dentist she told me straight away to stop using my mouthwash and to use a mild one with no alcohol at all. I wasn't quite sure if she was trying to scare me so she showed me her mouth with her mirror then used a norml mouthwash and showed me it after and there were tiny but seeable (with a magnifying mirror) abrasions all over her gums. I have not used it since

Thanks for that handy bit of advice:thumbsup:

The one other thing I do hate it when a client has done everything right, is clean and has fresh breath but then you kiss and he has a thick fur over his tongue. Its mainly men who have a drink problem or who don't take care of themselves by eating correctly but it just feels Yuckky. Kissing with tongues is off putting as you can feel the fur rubbing your own gums. A tongue scraper is your friend here plus it also helps keep a fresh breath as that fur is just heaving with bacteria

Some toothbrushes have a rubber 'tongue scrubber' on them too.

The not brushing of teeth isn't something some are doing for two hours before a punt as some replies have shown, including from WGs. I did point it out earlier in a post. At least one is supplying a toothbrush AT the punt.

I missed that post and just read it now. I guess some people just don't know that teeth brushing is a good way to pass on infections afterwards. Most wouldnt mention their job to the dentist so wouldn't be told and some just don't do research. Unfortunately the GUM doesn't tell you everything you need to know especially if you don't tell them you do this job or punt so unless you research well you wouldn't know these things. Hell my gum know I do this job and I still have to insist on a throat swab everytime as they don't just offer it.

Indeed but lets hope this thread is read carefully and the good advice given followed, it just might stop someone from getting some kind of infection.

You should. Not to be unpleasant, but see it as polite yet constructive criticism. I'll wager that such punters are genuinely unaware and their dip in hygiene may have continued unchallenged because no-one has informed them.
If they then become belligerent, you know what to do :hi:

Just a PS to avoid confusion as I wasn't clear: BEFORE the punt I'd ask them to use the mouthwash (always a gentle, alcohol-free one) or the spray. The toothbrushes are for if they wanted to freshen up afterwards. I never brush my own teeth within an hour of a booking.

That said, I think any client who does brush his teeth just before a punt is unlikely to be in much danger (or dangerous), but definitely better safe than sorry.

Missing teeth? Is that really off putting?
Not by itself, no. But if the surrounding survivors are covered in thick, mustard-coloured plaque it's an indicator that they have a problem with using a toothbrush or going to the dentist, not that they've just lost one via e.g. an accident.

Personally I wouldnt allow myself to be in that position, but I think you have every right to ask the guy to brush his teeth or rinse his mouth etc. Poor hygiene is unacceptable and shouldn't be tolerated. I always take a shower immediately before I leave for a booking, including brushing my teeth, unless I'm coming straight from work, when I'll let the girl know that I will need a shower and I will either have my own toothbrush and paste with me or use mouthwash. However if a girl asked me to shower anyway, I wouldn't be offended.

Very true Dani. A clean tongue is a must. A tongue cleaning is an important part of my meeting preparation. I wouldn't dream of meeting a girl without doing this.
